When we sit down to watch a movie, we get pretty invested in the main characters, especially if there's a major love story. It's tough not to ship the actors involved and think that they could totally live an off-screen happily ever after. Of course, we feel this way because there are many star-studded couples who meet cute on a film set, like Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling who dated around the time that they were in The Notebook. Even though we've seen time and time again that it doesn't always work out, we still think that these couples can make it.
Although there are countless movies that feature very romantic love scenes, there are just as many stars who aren't that comfortable with them. They each have their various reasons.

Dwayne Johnson: People Say The Rock Hasn't Had Real Love Scenes
We haven't seen Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) in any movie love scenes, and that's because some people say that he's not the type to take on those types of roles.
One fan made a good point when he wrote for Small Screen, "Johnson often plays fathers, husbands, or characters who are more concerned with saving the world rather than looking for love."
Neal McDonough basically won't kiss anyone on screen
Irish-American actor Neal McDonough isn't down with smooching anyone other than his wife, which has often caused tension in his career. He reportedly isn't "okay" with blurring the lines between reality and fiction, according to the Christian Examiner, and, therefore, he tries to separate the two as much as possible.
"Life is about honoring God and being the best human being you can be and giving praise to God in everything you do," McDonough explained to the publication. "Killing people on screen — that's fake. That's not real. When you're in bed with another woman on screen — guess what? That's real. I don't like that kind of stuff. Especially now with kids, I don't want to have my kids say, 'Hey, Dad, what are you doing with that lady on screen?'"
Though McDonough has every right to stick to his beliefs — including refusing to perform love scenes with TV wife Nicollette Sheridan on Desperate Housewives — that doesn't mean they don't come at a cost. According to the Daily Mail, the actor was fired for refusing to film love scenes in the show Scoundrels and was later replaced by David James Elliott — who had no problem being affectionate on camera.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson has been in the game for some time, but he still refuses to go full frontal in any of his movies because he's, well, worried about his endowment. He told Howard Stern that he "might ask for a d--- double. I don't know if it's formidable enough."
