Spanish actor Antonio Banderas and American actress Melanie Griffith are divorcing after more than 18 years of marriage.
Griffith, 56, filed for divorce in front of a court in Los Angeles, California.
In the document to which local media had access, the interpreter cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending her marriage.
Griffith claims alimony and custody of the daughter she and Banderas share, Stella del Carmen, who will turn 18 in September.
