THE FOUNDER OF AMAZON, JEFF BEZOS, ANSWERS THE VIRAL VIDEO OF HIS GIRLFRIEND LAUREN SÁNCHEZ MEETING LEONARD DICAPRIO
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has jokingly suggested that he would lure Leonardo DiCaprio off a cliff in response to a video of his girlfriend meeting the actor.
The world's second-richest man tweeted the joke after a video of his partner Lauren Sanchez chatting animatedly with DiCaprio, 46, at a party in Los Angeles, drew more than 17.3 million views online.
Ms Sánchez, 51, a television host and entertainment reporter, could be seen looking in love talking to the actor; she briefly put her arm around him, while Bezos was with them at the movie gala.
Mr. Bezos, 57, who also founded the Blue Origin Space Company, responded to a video on Twitter where he shared a photo of himself standing next to a sign that read “Danger! Steep cliff. Fatal fall ”.
Next to the image he wrote: "Leo, come here, I want to show you something" and tagged the actor in the post.
Since then, his response has received more than 184,000 likes, and many commenters enjoyed the humorous version.
The media company Barstool Sports shared the original video of the weekend meeting with the caption: "Leo is Mr. Steal Yo Girl."
The couple were at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's 10th annual art and film gala on Saturday. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Jared Leto and Paris Hilton also attended.
Bezos separated from his wife of 25 years MacKenzie Scott in 2019, leaving her the third richest woman in the world at the time with more than $ 35 billion (£ 26 billion).
DiCaprio, meanwhile, has been in a relationship with 24-year-old model Camila Morrone since 2017.
DiCaprio did not immediately respond to Bezos's "steep cliff" joke.
