Biden condemns Russia's "unjustified" attack on Ukraine
The US leader believes that "the world will hold Russia responsible" for the attack on Ukraine.
The president of the United States, Joe Biden, accused this Wednesday (02.23.2022) the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, of launching an "unprovoked and unjustified" attack against Ukraine.
At the same time, he signals Putin to bet on a "premeditated war" that will cause "catastrophic" losses.
Biden will present on Thursday the "consequences" for Russia of what he considers an "unjustified attack", as he announced in a statement, in which he also specified that he will meet that same day with his G7 counterparts.
The US president is scheduled to hold a closed-door virtual meeting with the leaders of the G7 (Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States) at 2:00 p.m. GMT on Thursday and give a public speech later.

"Prayers of the world are with Ukraine"
On Wednesday, he announced that he would impose sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline that runs from Russia to Germany and is one of the most important energy and geopolitical projects for Moscow. Germany had earlier announced that it would block development of the project.
US officials said any Russian escalation in Ukraine, which occurred Wednesday night, would trigger increasingly harsh sanctions that could target bigger banks, more oligarchs and halt exports of high-tech equipment.
"The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unwarranted attack by Russian military forces," Biden said.
"President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring catastrophic loss of life and human suffering," he remarked.
