Meghan Markle Leaves ‘return label’ Dangling From Her Striking Red Dress
Meghan Markle wore a bright red floral dress from Self Portrait on her visit to Tonga and she accessorized it with a Christian Dior clutch and Manolo Blahnik BB pumps
The Duchess of Sussex may need to start carefully checking her wardrobe before going out as she recently committed a minor fashion faux-pas as she touched down in Tonga for her royal tour with the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry. Pregnant Meghan Markle wore a striking red dress but, unfortunately for her, she forgot to remove the ‘return tag’ which was seen hanging from her dress.
Meghan’s label was very well visible as she walked along a red carpet to the sounds of local singers wearing grass skirts at Fua’amotu Airport in Nuku’alofa, Tonga’s capital. The bright red floral dress from Self Portrait, which seemed to mirror the color of the Tongan flag, also saw the Duchess accessorizing it with a Christian Dior clutch and Manolo Blahnik BB pumps.
The tag, which at first was not so visible to everyone around the couple, stayed on for a good five minutes before it was noticed and removed. All this time, Meghan was being introduced to a party at the airport following their 90-minute flight from Fiji.
Despite letting the tag dangle from the dress, which reportedly read “returns will only be accepted if this tag remains attached”. Meghan looked radiant in her dress, and she was seen holding hands with her husband Prince Harry the entire time.
The royal couple was welcomed to the country by Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Latufuipeka, the only daughter and eldest child of King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u Tuku’ah. Queen Nanasipau’u Tuku’ah is Tonga’s High Commissioner to Australia.
