Researcher Jessica Myrick from the University of Pennsylvania conducted a study focused on obtaining results about how President Trump's junk food diet influences society in that country and the results show that "his campaign in favor of junk food could have caused harm to public health by encouraging many Americans to eat fast food," says the researcher.

To obtain these statistics, the scientist took on the task of surveying more than a thousand Americans, making it a nationally representative document:

How did he do it?

She compared respondents' attention to the media with respondents' parasocial relationship with the president. But what are parasocial relationships? Yes, they are those that occur between two people who do not know each other, such as the link between a fan and a celebrity or a politician, among other representative figures.

She also compared those findings to respondents' attitudes toward fast food, its acceptance, and the likelihood that these people would order fast food in the future, just to identify with their president.

After analyzing the data obtained, Myrick determined that reading news about Trump's diet was a stronger predictor of intentions to eat fast food than any demographic factor: be it education level, race, age, gender or income.

"The results also show that for both Republicans and Democrats, greater attention to media coverage of Trump's diet was associated with more positive attitudes toward this food, however, for Republicans, this relationship was nearly twice as high. strong, meaning that as attention to media coverage of Trump's diet increases, Republicans are quicker to report positive attitudes toward fast food than Democrats." Myrick reported.

According to the researchers, Trump is not the first president whose eating habits have made headlines. The study recalls that former President Bill Clinton also had a penchant for fast food before he underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 and later went vegan.

It also talks about the influence that the Obama family exerted on society during his tenure, advocating for a much healthier and fitter diet and remembering how the first lady Michelle Obama promoted the initiative to create a garden at home, just as she did on the White House grounds.

The Trump Diet

To learn about Trump's diet, we took on the task of reading the book written by advisers to President Donald Trump: Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie: Let Trump Be Trump: The Inside Story of His Rise to the Presidency.

As usual:

In it, the authors state that a typical Trump dinner during his government is made up of two Big Macs, two fish sandwiches and a chocolate milkshake and comment that the sum of this menu, which is apparently common to his tastes, is equivalent to 2 thousand 672 calories.

If you don't have much time...

Lewandowski reveals that if Trump is short on time, he usually has a McDonald's hamburger and an egg sandwich with extra cheese and bacon, salsa and bread for breakfast.

What if he has a little more time?

The normal thing is that he eats bacon and bacon with egg and bread, while he checks Twitter (one of his hobbies). Of course, he prefers to skip this first meal of the day and go directly to lunch.

For the food

His two favorite restaurants are Kentucky Fried Chicken and Mc Donald's, and for this reason, it is the fast food that he consumes frequently. For dessert, he prefers Oreo cookies, in addition to an average consumption of between 10 and 12 cans of Diet Coke.

President Donald Trump may be one of the most powerful men in the world, but his diet is definitely not an example of healthy and nutritious food.
