Fans fear for Tara Reid as actress shares shocking image of bruised and battered face
The star sparked concern with the graphic picture shared to her Instagram page, before later clarifying it was for a movie role
Tara Reid sparked concern for her welfare as she shared a shocking image showing her with a bruised and battered face.
The American Pie actress took to Instagram and posted a picture of herself with a large bruise across her forehead. She was also seen with mascara streaks down her face.
"Everyone be kind to each other. This is what bullying looks like #Worthless," she wrote.
Fans spoke of their concern before Tara clarified on Twitter that her face was covered in heavy makeup for her new role in anti-bulling movie, 'Worthless'.
"Please let us know you're ok," one fan wrote.
"You can't post and not explain yourself. What happened,' another said.
One follower commented: "If it's makeup [I] think you should give a heads up ....people are concerned."
"Gosh, please tell me that's makeup," another said.
Tara, 40, later wrote: "On my new movie #Worthless."
"I'm so excited being back in New Jersey where I was born and raised. I'm shooting my new movie Worthless it's an anti bullying movie."
In July Tara sensationally walked out of a radio interview with Jenny McCarthy after they exchanged catty comments.
The Sharknado star appeared on the presenter's radio show to talk about her new movie, and when Jenny asked a few that Tara didn't like, things went sour very quickly.
The short interview on the SiriusXM radio show saw Jenny attempt to talk about Tara's recent appearance on reality shows like Marriage Boot Camp, as well as touching on her past plastic surgery procedures.
Tara was not impressed when Jenny asked about how she 'got in shape' for the role.
"It's not like you really need to get into shape. It's Sharknado. They're fake sharks," she said.
