Jake Gyllenhaal, on shooting scenes with Jennifer Aniston: "It was torture"

The American actor has recalled, in an interview with 'The Howard Stern Show', his romantic scenes in 'The Good Girl'.

He makes almost 20 years of the arrival on the big screen of 'The Good Girl'. A drama film starring Jennifer Aniston, who played a jaded Justine Last, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The Californian actress, at that time was a star in the world of cinema thanks to her role as Rachel Green in 'Friends', also becoming the platonic love of the actor who had recently filmed 'Donnie Darko'.

Jake Gyllenhaal has been able to speak on this subject in an interview on 'The Howard Stern Show', on SiriusXM, where he has confessed that he was in love with Aniston, and that filming in 'The Good Girl' was complicated, especially the scenes romantic. "Shooting [the s*x scenes] was torture," he began by pointing out, laughing.

"It wasn't torture either. I mean, come on, it was a mixture of both. Interestingly, the love scenes are awkward because there are maybe 30 or 50 people watching. That doesn't turn me on. It's weirdly mechanical. And it's also a dance, you're doing a choreography for the camera. You can get into the scene, but it's like a fight sequence, you have to choreograph it."

Jennifer Aniston's trick

To record the s*xual scenes, Gyllenhaal has confessed that Jennifer Aniston suggested a trick, helping herself with a pillow: "We used the pillow technique. It was only preventive and it is generally always used when you have a horizontal scene in a movie. I think it was Jennifer whoever suggested it. He was kind enough to suggest it before we started. He said, 'I'm going to put a pillow in here.'"

It is not the first time that Jake Gyllenhaal talks about his love for Jennifer Aniston, as he did it six years ago for 'People' magazine: "I've had a crush on her for years. And working with her wasn't easy, it was. ... That's all I'm going to say. It was lovely. It wasn't difficult. That's what I'll say."
