The scandalous truth behind Sharon Stone and Sylvester Stallone's love scene in "The Specialist"

The actors starred in "The Specialist" in 1994, but the romantic scene showed a lack of chemistry.

Sharon Stone made her film debut in 1980, but it wasn't until 1992 that she achieved worldwide fame thanks to the most iconic leg-crossing in history in "Basic Instincts." That role earned her the undisputed title of big screen s*x symbol and she soon landed numerous jobs aimed at exploiting her s** appeal. One of them was "The Specialist" (1994), where she shared the leading role with Sylvester Stallone. Although it was an action movie, Stallone himself promoted it as an erotic thriller.

The tape included a romantic scene between Sly and Sharon Stone, although the sequence is remembered by many for its complete lack of eroticism. How is it possible? Two n@ked bodies may mean nothing if there is no chemistry. Much less, knowing what happened during the filming.

According to El PaĆs, Sharon Stone did not want to film this scene and she refused to take off her robe: "Because I'm tired of getting n@ked," was the explanation of the actress. "Well, refuse to undress in someone else's film," the actor reproached him. What happened later today could well be a scandal, but back then it was just an anecdote.

The actress's refusal made Stallone use another strategy, which he revealed to the media at the time: “At first she didn't want to do that love scene. So I thought the best thing would be to get her drunk. Sharon had a couple of drinks and was like, 'Okay, I'll do it!

“The director asked most of the workers to leave the room, but she still refused to undress. If I had promised her that I wouldn't go too far with her, what was her problem then?” Stallone declared. Some time later, the actor gave more details of what happened: “She did not come to her senses, so I went to my dressing room and took out a bottle of Black Death vodka that Michael Douglas had given me. After half a dozen drinks we were soaked and wild." The scene was eventually filmed and "The Specialist" was a box office hit, but was trashed by critics. The lack of chemistry was evident and many considered that more than eroticism, the images resembled a bodybuilding competition.
