ELIZABETH OLSEN WANTS HER VENGER COSTUME TO COVER HER DECOLATE
Being a superhero on screen is not easy. It goes without saying, but the hours spent filming in costume can be brutal. Stars like Tom Hiddleston and Chris Evans have never shied away from showing off the more wretched effects of their uniform, but they're not the only ones who have issues with their heroic outfits.
Recently, the actress did an interview with where she talked about her work in the MCU. It was there, Olsen said that she loved Scarlet Witch, but that she could do without her cleavage outfit.
"It just wouldn't be a cleavage corset," she said Olsen after she was asked how it would change Scarlet Witch's appearance. «I like corsets, but I would like them to be higher. Everybody has these things covering them, Tessa Thompson yes, Scarlett yes. I'd like to hide a bit."
"It's funny because sometimes I look around and I'm like – wow, I'm the only one with cleavage, and that's a constant joke because they haven't really evolved my superhero costume that much. But then you look at where it started in the comics and it was a leotard and a headband, so... oh, it's horrible, it's so horrible. So at least they know it's not cool."
Clearly, Olsen did her research when it comes to Scarlet Witch's wardrobe. The heroine has never refused to show her figure, and Marvel Comics never tried to cast her aside. Scarlet Witch's most famous costume iteration involves the use of skin-tight tights, a billowing cape, and a tight-fitting corset with a neckline that dips below her bust. Olsen may not have such a revealing costume in the MCU, but he does show more cleavage than any other bodysuit out there.
Continuing, the actress went on to mention how heroines could still have flattering and functional outfits, Olsen naming Wonder Woman as the perfect example.
"They did Wonder Woman, you know? I think about the costumes and what we have to wear, and in the end it's more about iconic images, because that's what these movies are... I think that's the point of the costume, and this one does not represent the average woman »
Do you think it's a good idea to hide Elizabeth Olsen's cleavage?
