Dakota Johnson blamed a big hug on her near wardrobe malfunction at the People's Choice Awards.
The 26-year-old actress was asked about the incident while appearing on Monday on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Dakota explained that she received the award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress from Leslie Mann who is her co-star in the upcoming comedy How To Be Single.
'I hadn't seen her in a while, so I hugged,' said Dakota who looked stylish in a black and white J. Mendel dress with cutout sleeves on the chat show.
'I hugged Leslie, and then my dress broke. And it was a two-piece, so my top almost fell off,' she said.
Seth, 42, instantly quipped: 'That would have been the People's Choice!'
Dakota was accepting the award for her work in the erotic drama Fifty Shades Of Grey and took the incident in stride during the televised awards show.
Taking to the microphone, she announced, 'Leslie just broke my dress.'
She quickly brushed it off and declared humoursly: 'Well, it's not like everybody here hasn't already seen my b--bs!'
Leslie clearly got her hand tangled in the back straps of Dakota's dress during their hug.
'You just broke my dress,' the young actress could clearly be heard saying.
'It's okay, we got it,' Leslie said soothingly as she frantically tried to fix the dress.
Leslie, 43, presented the award to Dakota along with their How To Be Single co-star Alison Brie, 33.
The comedy also starring Rebel Wilson is scheduled for release on February 12.
