This Actor Inspired Jennifer Lawrence's Entire Career

She's one of the most popular actors of modern times, but Jennifer Lawrence owes it all to the actor who inspired her career.

Jennifer Lawrence has had an almost meteoric rise to fame. She was an excellent Katniss in 'Hunger Games,' joined the X-Men, earned bank, and is surprisingly honest about her journey and her opinions.

Of course, J Law isn't known for being the most graceful actress... She's had oopses that resulted in her co-star being hospitalized, and she's no stranger to bumps and bruises, even while she appears to be kicking butt on-screen.

And despite the fact that she's sorta rude to her fans (though she has a good reason to be), Jennifer has almost a cult-like following. It's not surprising, TBH, because the actress has such a wide range and has had some impressive roles.

As IMDb highlights, J Law was the highest-paid actress in both 2015 and 2016. That, and the fact that she was the first '90s baby to earn an Oscar, is enough to consider her wildly successful.

It's clear that Jennifer Lawrence was born to act. But actually, another actor originally served as her inspiration to head to Hollywood. After all, she started out as a young girl in a small town, dreaming about stardom.

Jennifer has rubbed elbows with plenty of stars in her time, and she no doubt admires plenty of them. But her biggest inspiration is actually her 'Hunger Games' co-star, Josh Hutcherson.

In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Josh himself explained why Jennifer was so inspired by him.

Keep in mind that both stars are from Kentucky; Jennifer was born in Indian Hills, while Josh is from Union, KY. As Josh explained, when he first left KY for California, a local paper documented his attempts at stardom.

Years later, Jennifer recounted a story to Josh: She had read about a kid from Kentucky who went to CA to become an actor. That kid was Hutcherson!

Jennifer showed the article to her parents, Josh related, and told them she wanted to do the same thing. Of the coincidence, Hutcherson reflected, "So it’s crazy that we ended up doing these movies together."

In fact, Jennifer "came over to" Josh and told him the story the first time she met him. This happened in 2011 when the pair were both at the SAG Awards for their respective films; Lawrence for 'Winter's Bone' and Hutcherson for 'The Kids Are All Right.'

Sounds just like the bubbly and personable Lawrence to go up to an actor she doesn't know and tell them a random story. But that just goes to show fans how much Josh's journey impacted Jennifer's own. Even better, fans got to see the two share a journey through 'Hunger Games,' which is even more iconic knowing how the two are connected.
