‘Titanic’: Kate Winslet Regrets the S-x Scene With Leonardo DiCaprio Had To End
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet starred in Titanic in 1997. The movie was directed by James Cameron and won an Academy Award for Best Picture. In Titanic, DiCaprio played Jack Dawson and Winslet starred as Rose DeWitt Bukater.
While they are from different social classes, the two characters meet and fall in love on the RMS Titanic. Throughout filming, Winslet and DiCaprio became close friends. Despite not wanting to be together romantically, Winslet once admitted she enjoyed filming the s-x scene in Titanic with DiCaprio.

Titanic took several months to film, and as a result, DiCaprio and Winslet spent quite a bit of time together. When the movie was released, Winslet sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone. In the interview, Winslet described her friendship with DiCaprio.
“We were kind of the two goofy kids on the set,” she said. “Y’know, working with Leonardo DiCaprio — he’s a bit gorgeous, and I was worried that I was going to be bowled over by him, or that he was going to find me all stuffy and Shakespearean and English. But the second we met, we just completely clicked.”
DiCaprio agreed, telling Rolling Stone, “She was my best friend for seven months.”

While Winslet and DiCaprio did not have romantic feelings for each other behind the scenes, Winslet did enjoy filming the s-x scene between Jack and Rose with DiCaprio.
She enjoyed it so much, Winslet admitted to Rolling Stone she regretted that it had to end, saying:
“Doing that scene it so wasn’t us. And yet we were so locked into what all that had to be about. The Rose in me was really sort of loving the Jack in him, actually. And even though I didn’t feel that way about Leo, it was quite nice to sort of feel that way in the scene. It was quite lovely. And then, y’know, the camera stopped rolling, and he gets up and walks off, and the scene’s done. And I remember lying there thinking, ‘What a shame that’s over.’ Because it was quite nice. It was.”

Even though Winslet and DiCaprio have been adamant that they did not hook up in real life, they have discussed s-x with each other. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Winslet shared that the two actors would cuddle under a blanket and share s-x tips while filming Titanic.
“You know, some very, very personal things, asking each other for advice,” she said. “Not necessarily comparing notes but sort of, ‘No, don’t do it like that, do it like this.’ He’s very good at that. I have to say, a lot of those s-xual tips he’s given me have worked. And I know it’s vice versa.”
After starring in Titanic together in 1997, Winslet and DiCaprio reunited and starred in Revolutionary Road in 2008. The two have remained close friends throughout the years.
