Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly revealed the late Jeffrey Epstein had secret videos of Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton…now detailed in a new book, claiming to have heard it directly from his mouth.
Former CBS producer Ira Rosen gave the alleged anecdote firsthand in his book, "Ticking Clock: Behind the Scenes at 60 Minutes," which just hit the market last week. According to people who have reviewed it, Rosen claims he tricked Maxwell into spilling the beans.
Sometime before the 2016 election, Rosen claims he set up a meeting with Maxwell and put on his best poker face to get her to admit there were secret Trump tapes, but he apparently discovered that Epstein was in possession of alleged Clinton tapes as well. .
He says he told her, “I want the tapes. I know he (Epstein) was recording everyone and I want the tapes of Trump with the girls." To that, Rosen claims that Maxwell replied that she didn't know where they were, to which Rosen emphasized the possibility that Trump could possibly win the presidency if the alleged tapes don't come to light.
He claims that Maxwell looked him in the eye and said the following: “I am the daughter of a press baron. I know how you guys think. If they do one side, they must do the other. If they get the tapes on Trump you have to do Clinton."
Rosen claims that Maxwell then said it was all pointless, because Hillary was so far ahead in the polls at the time, so there was no need for the story to come out. Beyond that, she claims that she told him that Epstein never revealed to her where those alleged tapes were, so she couldn't even access them if he wanted to.
Of course, both men have ties to Epstein and have been photographed with him many times over the years. Clinton has downplayed their friendship and denied ever traveling on Epstein's private planes... while Trump has also distanced himself from Epstein and denied any wrongdoing.
Epstein, of course, committed suicide after being arrested on sex trafficking charges… but some have examined the circumstances surrounding his death, alleged a cover-up and possibly even murder. Maxwell herself is now behind bars, awaiting trial in a separate Epstein-related case… but she has not spoken publicly about any tapes of Clinton, Trump or anyone else.
