'Everyone's chasing a good time and it's always a disappointment'
Jennifer Lawrence has once again proved that despite being an Oscar-winning actress, she’s just like the rest of us: She’s had plenty of rubbish New Years Eves.
One would think Lawrence would have a steady flow of party invites arriving at her door on the 31st December, however in spite of that she reportedly told Graham Norton she’s never had a good New Years.
During a pre-taped appearance of The Graham Norton Show which will ironically air on New Years Eve, Lawrence said: “I really hate it, I’ve never had a good one,” reports E! News.
“Everyone’s chasing a good time and it’s always a disappointment.”
Lawrence said this year she plans on doing nothing, but may change her mind if “something lands in my lap”, but most years – like many – she “always ends up drunk and disappointed”.
The 25-year-old then reportedly joked that ‘drunk and disappointed’ would be an apt name for her memoir.
Despite the negativity expressed by the actress in celebrating one year and welcoming in another, it’s fair to say Lawrence has had a fairly successful 2015.
She was named the highest-paid actress of 2015 by Forbes and starred in the final Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay Part 2 as well as the David O’Russell-directed Joy which will be released in UK cinemas on New Years Day.
