In it, Nicole Kidman has opened up about the abuse scenes that she had to film, as part of the stormy marriage in which she lives Celeste, the character she plays in the series.
"I remember lying on the floor in the last episode, in my underwear, and literally being thrown," says Kidman, referring to the opening scene of the last episode. "I lay on the floor, I couldn't get up, I didn't want to get up and I remember Jean-Marc (Vallée, series director) coming over and putting a towel over my body between takes. I felt absolutely humiliated and devastated, and angry. I went home and threw a rock at a glass door."
Co-star and co-producer Reese Witherspoon remembers getting a phone call from Nicole that night. "She told me that she had done something crazy. That she had had to shoot one of those horrible scenes and that when she got to the hotel she couldn't get into the room and threw a stone at the window."
