After verifying that part of her most intim-te areas were exposed during the famous crossing of legs that she stars in 'Basic Instinct', Sharon Stone felt so angry with the director of the film, Paul Verhoeven, that she did not hesitate to give him a slap after attending the official premiere of the film.
"I remember when we were shooting that scene, the director told me that my underwear was showing when I crossed my legs, so he asked me to take it off. I was reluctant but I finally agreed because he assured me that nothing would show.
There was no HD back then so when I saw that scene myself after shooting it on a small screen it didn't show at all, but when I saw it later during the premiere I was in shock and when the movie ended , I slapped him," revealed the Hollywood star on his way through the American television program 'The Talk'.
Despite her anger, Sharon Stone now agrees that her famous pose was perfectly identified with the character she played in the film, Catherine Tramell. "The truth is that this scene reflects my character quite well. But if I would have been the director at that time, I would have had the courtesy to show the scene to the actress before the film was released. Even so, I think she would have agreed to leave it as it ended up being shown in the cinema, "he added.
