The actor who played Pennywise has nightmares with the clown from It

Bill Skarsgard revealed that he had a hard time getting the character out of his head.

It became the world's highest-grossing horror film, grossing nearly $700 million in theaters. One of the film's biggest draws is actor Bill Skarsgard's portrayal of the clown Pennywise, who revealed to Entertainment Weekly that even after filming wrapped, he had a hard time getting the dreaded character out of his head.

The Swedish actor said that playing the clown was very similar to a toxic relationship and that he was relieved when the recordings of It ended. However, even after the film was finished, he could not get the character out of his head: "It was in my home, I had already finished the movie and I started having a very vivid and strange dream about Pennywise. Every night he came to visit me," Skarsgard said.

For the actor, these dreams were part of the process of detaching from the character. "It was extraordinary. It's overwhelming but exciting to be able to see it again," says the Swede. The second part of It is expected for this 2019, which will have as its main story the second part of the book by Stephen King.
