Margot Robbie Dishes on Her 'So Awkward' S-x Scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio

The actress revealed that she filmed her first s-x scene in The Wolf of Wall Street

Filming a s-x scene is always a bit awkward – especially when it’s your first.

Margot Robbie opened up about filming her infamous s-x scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, revealing that it was the first time she fully stripped down on screen.

“I hadn’t done a proper s-x scene before,” she told Vanity Fair in its August issue. “I’d done scenes where it’s leading into s-x or s-x had just finished, but I hadn’t done a start-to-finish s-x scenes like I did in Wolf. That was my first.”

While Robbie, 26, said she did film a shower scene while working on an Australian film, nothing quite compared to the level of nudity in Wolf.

“I was practically n-ked there,” she said. “But it wasn’t anywhere as much as in Wolf.”

The Australian actress said one of the strangest parts of the experience was having “tons of people” watching as they filmed the different scenes. “It’s so awkward.”

“There isn’t an option,” she said of having to overcome her nerves. “It’s just like, this is what you need to do – get on with it. The sooner you do it, the sooner you can stop doing it.”

But despite feeling a little uncomfortable, she delivered an impressive performance. The actress is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading ladies, with roles in this summer’s Suicide Squad and The Legend of Tarzan.

And with her growing fame, Robbie said she’s learned how to deal with people who try to diminish her success.

“There’s a thing in Australia called tall-poppy syndrome,” she said when asked if if people back home were proud of her. “It’s a pretty prevalent thing – they even teach it in school. Poppies are tall flowers, but they don’t grow taller than the rest of the flowers, so there’s a mentality in Australia where people are really for you to do well; you just can’t do better than anyone else or they will cut you down to size.”
