The Swedish pop singer Tove Lo is not known for being particularly body-conscious.
The 31-year-old singer kept up that image right at the Northside music festival, which kicked off on Thursday afternoon when she opened the Green Stage.
During the smash hit 'Talking Body', she chose to follow tradition by briefly flashing her bre@sts in front of the Aarhusian audience.
The reaction from the audience was solid cheering.
It's probably not something that will cause fans to get the draft beer down their throats in the summer heat either. It is not the first time she has done this in Denmark. Most recently, she did it on Tinderbox in 2017.
And there is a very good reason why Tove Lo, whose real name is Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, is not shy about showing off large parts of her body.
The Swedish pop star has previously explained this. She shows bare skin to des-xualize the female body.
"We care so much about our appearance that people think it matters. It doesn't. It's okay not to be pretty. Every time you see a n-ked woman in the media, it's always done s-xually. I dream of a world where women can be n-ked in the same way as men can,' Tove Lo told the music media NME.
And it doesn't stop here.
When Tove Lo introduced her video 'Fairy Dust' in 2016, it similarly created a lot of attention.
In the last scene of the video, the then 29-year-old singer is seen masturbating while the notes from her own song 'What I want for the night (Bitches)' play.
On YouTube, however, they didn't see through their fingers with the controversial content to begin with. Shortly after 'Fairy Dust' came out, it was censored.
The guidelines on the page state that the channel does not allow s-xual content such as pornography.
As such, it did not surprise music reviewer and talent judge, Sandeep Sing, who told the Norwegian media Dagbladet:
"It's the closest thing I've seen to porn in a music video in a long time. Admittedly, it's more along the lines of 'feminist porn'. Some artists sing from the heart, others from the brain.'
In addition to 'Talking Body', Tove Lo also has big hits such as 'Habits' and 'Stay High' in her repertoire.
