Lyn May is one of the most controversial characters in Mexico, this year she was in the eye of the hurricane for her controversies such as having said that she was pregnant at 68 years old, assuring that she had a plane accident that caused her to lose her baby, and also to report that he had an affair with the late singer Vicente Fernández when they were both married.
Her real name is Liliana Mendiola Mayanes and although she does have Chinese ancestry, she was born in Acapulco de Juárez, Guerrero, in 1952 and is the oldest of five siblings.
Since she was 13 years old, she began working in a small food store in the Central Market where she met the one who would be her first husband and with whom she would later move to Mexico City in search of Better opportunities.
At the age of 14, she became pregnant for the first time by a sailor who was over 30 years old, for which she was forced to marry; however, she was mistreated and violated so she decided to divorce her.
Her impressive physique and her talent in dancing led her to find a job at the Tropicana nightclub where she met Germán Valdés “Tin Tan”, and she hired her to do some comedy capsules with him.
Lyn May's career began to take off and she had performances at the Esperanza Iris City Theater and the Blanquita Theater.
Her first appearance in the cinema was in the successful film Tívoli, so from that moment on she established herself as one of the most popular vedettes and she followed her path in the so-called Cine de Ficheras.
The surgeries that ruined her face
Ella lyn May assured that for a long time she was terrified of getting old, that's why she resorted to dangerous aesthetic procedures that would help mitigate the ravages of her age.
The talented dancer recounted that she fell for an unprofessional person who, unbeknownst to her, would ruin her life as she injected baby oil into her cheekbones, which ruined and deformed her face.
Over time, the vedette's facial features began to fade, so when she saw her problem, the famous one resorted to various medical interventions; however, she could no longer be helped.
Lyn May is aware of the ridicule and criticism that there is towards her physique, but she prefers to focus on the good things in life: "I don't look back anymore, just forward, I learned that I have to live what suits me, to be happy and be positive despite the adversities, because I accepted myself as I am".
