According to a new report, the 49-year-old actress and her husband were recently caught in a heated, public fight on the red carpet at the Australian premiere of Nicole’s latest movie, Lion, leading many fans to worry the pair is headed for divorce.
Keith, 49, and Nicole had a “furious row” after speaking to the media during the event, an eyewitness told Australian outlet New Idea. The duo allegedly stopped to greet reporters before throwing “bitter insults” at one another in the press line.
The insider remarked the public argument is no surprise as Nicole and Keith have spent increasing amounts of time apart due to their busy and conflicting work schedules.
“They were meant to meet up in Sydney for a family Christmas, leaving work aside for a couple of weeks and concentrating on themselves for once,” the source said.
“Nicole is so sick of Keith constantly sulking,” a friend of the actress reportedly told the entertainment news outlet. “He needs to realize that Nicole’s career is important to her, and to start being more supportive. It’s very frustrating for her.”
In late November, another report claimed the duo enrolled in a $10,000, two-day couple’s retreat in an effort to save their 10-year marriage. “Nicole and Keith have been battling problems for a long time now, and it’s gotten to the point where it’s make or break,” a close friend of the couple told Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine.
“Nicole has told friends they’re giving their marriage three months and have decided to go their separate ways and consciously uncouple if they can’t work through their problems,” the insider continued.
Keith and Nicole tied the knot in 2006 and are parents to two daughters, Sunday Rose, 8, and Faith Margaret, 6, together. The Moulin Rouge star additionally has two, older adopted children — daughter Isabella, 24, and son Connor, 21 — with her first husband, Tom Cruise.
