In an interview on GB News, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams suggested that this latest update from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will only attract more press attention, despite previous claims that the couple wants privacy. Fitzwilliams also commented on the fact that both Harry and Meghan have an HRH title, but are not permitted to use it under an agreement with the Queen.
Fitzwilliams went on to say that it's clear the couple "attach more importance to titles than we thought," citing a recent interview with Anderson Cooper, in which Harry bristled at the suggestion of giving up his titles.
Despite the controversy surrounding the use of royal titles, it was revealed that the "Princess" title was used for Lilibet's christening in California. It remains to be seen how this will all play out for the Sussexes and their children in the future.
