Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had a tumultuous relationship, dating on and off for ten years before finally getting married in a secret ceremony in December 2018.
Unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived as Liam filed for divorce just eight months later in August 2019. During a recent visit to Lollapalooza Brazil, Miley helped a fan propose to her boyfriend and made a comment about her own failed marriage, saying, "Mine was a f****ng disaster."
In an interview with Howard Stern, Miley revealed that their relationship had many conflicts and that she wanted to be anchored by someone when she got home, without dramas or fights. She believes that they may not have gotten married if it hadn't been for the Malibu fire in 2018 that destroyed their home. "I just held on to what was left of that house, which was me and him. And I really love him and I loved him very, very, very much and I still do, I always will."
Miley is now dating singer Maxx Morando, while Liam has moved on to a relationship with model Gabriella Brooks. Despite the end of their marriage, Miley and Liam seem to have a mutual respect and affection for each other.
