People magazine reported that the singer decided to end her courtship due to the infidelity of the young man. JLo found evidence that Smart had had an affair and did not hesitate to break up with him.
"She kicked him out of the house because he cheated on her," a source told the publication. It hadn't been the first time, but this time she didn't forgive him. "It happened two years ago and he promised he would never do it again. He did it again and she said enough."
The couple met in October 2011, after the divorce of the actress from the singer Marc Anthony, with whom they had two children: Maximiliam and Emme.
