The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly negotiating their terms for attending the event, but King Charles has already made the decision to exclude Harry from the traditional role of Dukes kneeling before the monarch in homage.
Instead, Harry will watch from the Royal Gallery, while his brother, Prince William, fulfills this role, along with the Duke of Cornwall and Rothesay, and the heir to the throne.
Last year, King Charles made significant changes to the Regency Act, appointing his siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, as Counsellors of State, thereby demoting Prince Harry from his potential role as stand-in for the king.
It remains uncertain whether Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, will attend the coronation with him, as there are concerns about the public's reaction to their presence, particularly in light of Harry's forthcoming memoir, Spare.
