On Meghan Markle's wedding day, she was reportedly given no security at
all, according to Prince Harry. The couple, who were soon to become the
Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were left without any safety protocol despite being
surrounded by potential threats.
Harry expressed his frustration with palace officials for not deeming it important to protect him and Meghan. In fact, he revealed that the palace even suggested not providing security for Meghan at all, given Harry's position as sixth in line to the throne.
He wished that reports of Special Forces being involved in their protection were true and even considered asking his Special Forces friends to train and protect him and Meghan.
The couple ultimately tied the knot in 2018 at St. George's Chapel, surrounded by their loved ones.
