Initially, the Sussexes reimbursed the Crown Estate for the cost of the renovations and secured a lease on the Cottage for an unspecified number of years. At the time, they stated that the refurbishment would ensure that "their family would always have a place to call home in the United Kingdom."
However, some royal commentators speculate that Prince Harry may try to reclaim the amount he and his wife spent on the renovations of Frogmore Cottage. Others suggest that such an attempt could result in another conflict between the Duke and his father and other members of the royal family.

She even suggested that Prince Harry could return all the gifts he has received from his mother, grandmother, and father and then deduct what he is expecting back from what he was given.
