Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Children's Titles Awaited by Buckingham Palace

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Children's Titles Awaited by Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace chose not to announce titles for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children, despite the couple's desire for an official announcement.

Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine, explained that the couple's wish was not granted because they wanted to have the benefits of royal titles without fulfilling the responsibilities that come with them. Therefore, the couple was left to make the announcement themselves, and Buckingham Palace did not interfere.

The announcement of the titles for Archie and Lilibet was made after Lilibet's christening. Speaking to The Mirror, Ms. Seward said that the couple waited six months to make the announcement, hoping that Buckingham Palace would announce the titles for them. However, this did not happen, and they eventually made the announcement themselves.

Ms. Seward added that Archie and Lilibet had been allowed to use their titles since the death of their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, but their parents chose not to announce them until now. Buckingham Palace left their website unchanged and allowed the Sussexes to make the announcement on their own, so they could not complain.
