In a recent episode of Newsweek's The Royal Report podcast with Jack Royston, author Sally Bedell Smith suggested that while Prince Harry has made many explosive claims about the royal family, she would be surprised if Prince William responded in kind.
Smith explained that writing a book to counter what Harry has written would likely only escalate tensions between the brothers. Instead, she praised William and his wife Kate Middleton for their handling of the situation and suggested that they were setting a good example by maintaining better boundaries.
Smith also pointed out the irony of Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's continued calls for privacy, while also frequently giving interviews and publishing Harry's memoir. She believes that this inconsistency only adds to the tension between the two brothers.
