When the movie "Under the Skin" was first released, people referred to it
as "Scarlett Johansson's n*de movie." In the film, Johansson plays an alien who
lures men back to her "home" to feed a mysterious entity. Initially, Johansson
wasn't sure if she wanted to do the n*de scenes.
However, she agreed under one condition - she didn't want the n*dity to be glamorous. Instead, she wanted it to be practical, given that her character was a different species. She also chose to have black hair, as she didn't want to be seen as a "blonde bombshell."
Despite the critical acclaim the movie received, it didn't do well at the box office. Some speculate that Johansson's decision to downplay her beauty may have affected the film's commercial success.
Regardless, "Under the Skin" is still regarded as a top-notch sci-fi movie that raises rich issues beyond just its n*de scenes.
