Tom Cruise's Love for Stunts Leads to Grinning and Ruined Takes

Tom Cruise has a real passion for movie stunts that runs so deep it sometimes causes him to ruin takes by grinning too much. In an interview on The Graham Norton Show, Cruise discussed the upcoming seventh installment of the Mission: Impossible series, in which he will reprise his iconic role.

He explained that he does a lot of his own stunts and that the first time he performs any of them is always nerve-wracking, yet also exhilarating. Apparently, he sometimes can't help but smile during the action, which causes him to be called back to reshoot scenes.

He admits that he's broken many bones over the course of his career, but he loves being a physical actor and takes the time to study and train for each role.

Mission: Impossible 7 has been filming all over the world for the past year, with production initially starting in Italy last February. However, the shoot was postponed due to the early coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Since then, the film has continued filming in various locations, including the UK and Abu Dhabi. The release date has been pushed back multiple times, and it was recently announced that the film would now premiere on May 27, 2022, which is the same date the original Mission: Impossible film was released in 1996, as well as the 2000 sequel.

In December, Cruise made headlines when he was reported to have scolded two crew members for not practicing social distancing on set.
