As the daughter of a father who introduced her to wine and water for lunch at a young age, she never saw alcohol as a forbidden fruit. In fact, she was quite confused by other teenagers' excitement around drinking because it was always a part of her life.
Recently, Emma reflected on her life as she turned 33 and shared some personal stories on Instagram. She spoke about her experience with Saturn Return, an astrological concept that aligns with a challenging time as a person finally matures into full adulthood.
During this time, Emma learned to surf, rode horses, did therapy, and started a women's environmental investment fund.
She also filmed a Harry Potter reunion, said goodbye to her grandparents, and adopted a dog named Sofia in Mexico. She even tried her hand at Pickleball and golf, and directed her first commercial. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing as she suffered a culinary accident and cut her thumb nails off on both hands, leaving her to do things one-handed for months.
Despite these challenges, Emma learned more about love and being a woman, and was able to establish a daily practice that she could maintain for more than a few days in a row. She also started eating more green things and became obsessed with making Squarespace websites. Emma has come a long way and is settled into healthier routines in her life.
