Esther Krakue, a royal commentator and broadcaster, stated in an interview with Sky News Australia that it is apparent that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not welcome at the ceremony due to the many attacks they have made against the Royal Family.
She further expressed her hope that the couple will not attend, stating that the event is a national one and should not be subject to the tawdry and gossipy stories that often accompany the couple's appearances.
Krakue also mentioned that she suspects that the California-based couple will still attend the coronation, despite not being invited, given their history of making appearances when they are not wanted. She went on to note that the RSVP date for the event has already passed, and it would be in poor taste if the couple showed up uninvited.
Furthermore, Krakue speculated that the release of the book 'Our King' this week will shed light on the fact that Harry and Meghan are now outsiders and have no place in the Royal Family. She added that the couple's only source of income seems to rely on their proximity to the Royal Family, which could be further threatened if they attend the coronation against the wishes of the monarchy.
