According to a recent poll, the majority of Britons still support Prince William, despite the allegations made by his younger brother.
Although Prince Harry's claims about his elder brother were quite serious, it appears that they did not have much impact on the popularity of the Prince of Wales among royal fans. The poll shows that 65 percent of Britons like Prince William, with just 17 percent disliking him. This gives him a net popularity rating of +48, which is still quite high, even though it has dropped slightly since the last quarter of 2022.
Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, also known as the Princess of Wales, remains popular among Britons, with 65 percent of the public liking her and just eight percent disliking her. This gives her a high net popularity rating of +57.
On the other hand, the data is not in favor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The poll shows that in the first quarter of 2023, only 29 percent of Britons like Prince Harry, while 51 percent dislike him, giving him a net popularity rating of -22. Meghan Markle, meanwhile, was liked by 23 percent of Brits, and disliked by 50 percent, giving her an even lower net popularity rating of -27.
Overall, the poll suggests that despite the ongoing drama within the royal family, the majority of the UK's public still loves and supports them. People are even gearing up to celebrate King Charles' Coronation next month, indicating that they remain invested in the future of the monarchy.
