Activist and political commentator, Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, appeared on Good Morning Britain to express her support for the Duchess of Sussex's choice, referring to her as 'inspirational' for having the courage and self-worth to say 'no' to the most powerful family in Britain.
The British-Nigerian lawyer and academic also noted that Meghan's decision is a demonstration of the power of saying no that comes from a place of growth, maturity, self-preservation, and self-worth.
Dr Shola further added that Meghan's action is telling the world that she is rejecting any notion that because she married into the Royal Family, she should be subjected to toxicity, rage, and abuse.
Buckingham Palace recently revealed that Prince Harry would attend the coronation alone while Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would stay in California.
