According to royal journalist Robert Jobson's new book, Our King, Queen
Elizabeth had a tough time dealing with phone calls from her grandson, Prince
Harry, who had moved to the U.S. In these calls, Harry would complain and whine
about various members of the Royal family.
Reportedly, the Queen found these phone calls "difficult and wearisome," but didn't want to interfere with Harry's relationship with his father. Instead, she urged him to speak directly to his dad.
Eventually, Charles and Harry began speaking over the phone, but their conversations weren't always positive. In fact, Harry reportedly asked Charles for money on multiple occasions and even used foul language with him.
Despite this, Charles refused to give Harry any money, telling the Queen that he wasn't a bank. It seems that the royal family was struggling to navigate their relationships during this period of upheaval and transition.
