These claims were made by royal contributor Jim Geraghty who shared his thoughts with the National Review.
Geraghty stated that there has always been something about Markle's relentless pursuit of fame that seems a little unhinged.
He also added that Markle and her husband may not be very bright if they thought they could make up a story without anyone noticing the lack of evidence to support it.
Geraghty further commented that perhaps they have become so self-absorbed that they no longer perceive events around them clearly, and dealing with paparazzi in New York City has become a matter of life and death pursuit in their minds, which has disturbing echoes of the events leading up to the death of Harry's mother.
