Motion filed on Prince Harry's US immigration status

A recent legal filing has been made in DC Federal Court requesting that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) provide a more timely response to a request concerning Prince Harry's immigration status in light of his alleged drug use.

The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has taken legal action against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeking information about the Duke of Sussex's immigration record and whether he received preferential treatment from the U.S. government.

The organization cites Prince Harry's admission in his book, Spare, to being a prolific drug user as grounds for concern. According to U.S. immigration law, an individual cannot be admitted into the country if they admit to a drug crime, and they can only enter temporarily with a waiver.

The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project aims to uncover records to determine whether Prince Harry received preferential treatment during his immigration process.

The organization contends that DHS's refusal to answer their lawful FOIA request is absurd. They argue that DHS suggested that Prince Harry had a privacy interest in his drug use, despite him writing about it in his book. The Oversight Project points out how crazy that sounds in their lawsuit.

They assert that their legal action is not about Prince Harry personally, but rather about addressing significant media questions regarding whether DHS acted appropriately in an exceptionally high-profile and unusual case.
