According to an article in The Daily Beast, Scobie, who co-wrote the Sussexes' biography "Finding Freedom" with Carolyn Durand, is expected to appear in court next week to offer evidence on Harry's behalf.
The outlet has obtained court documents stating that Scobie will speak about his own experiences as an intern at one of MGN's papers in relation to the phone-hacking case against the company.
The Daily Beast's Tom Sykes reported that Scobie will explain how, during his internship at the showbiz desk of The People, he was given a list of mobile phone numbers and told how to listen to voicemails as if it were a routine newsgathering technique.
Sykes further noted that Scobie plans to testify that he witnessed Piers Morgan being informed that information about singer Kylie Minogue had been obtained through voicemail hacking.
It is important to mention that Prince Harry is currently pursuing legal action against two different UK tabloid publishers for using illegal methods to gather information about him, including phone hacking.
