The ghostwriter behind Prince Harry's memoir, 'Spare,' has revealed his experience of working with the Royal, including multiple arguments that almost led him to quit.
J.R. Moehringer, the writer, has admitted to feeling exasperated with Prince Harry during the process. He recounted in the New Yorker on Monday that during their 2am calls, he felt his head pounding, jaw clenched, and was even starting to raise his voice.
He shared that during one of their arguments, he had the surreal thought of, "I'm shouting at Prince Harry," but quickly realized that the situation could escalate further.
The arguments reportedly centered around Prince Harry's time in the British Army, and Moehringer explains that he was concerned he would be fired from the project due to his differing opinions.
Despite the disagreements, J.R. Moehringer was able to complete the book, which was published earlier this year.
