Prince Harry's recent memoir, titled "Spare," has shed light on his strained
relationship with his family, particularly his elder brother, Prince
William.
The Duke of Sussex, currently residing in the United States, has made it clear
through his choice of words that he has no desire for reconciliation.
In the book, Prince Harry's ghostwriter, JR Moehringer, shared a poignant
moment where the Duke expressed his relief and freedom in finally sharing his
truth.
Moehringer recalled how Prince Harry referred to his advice to "trust the
book" and expressed gratitude for following it, as it allowed him to feel
liberated. Both Moehringer and Prince Harry were visibly moved, with tears in
their eyes.
Notably, one word stood out in Prince Harry's account: "freedom." Royal expert
Daniela Elser weighs in on this choice of word, highlighting that in pursuit
of this freedom, Prince Harry has paid a significant personal price, whether
he realizes it or not. The most obvious loss, according to Elser, is the
deterioration of his relationship with Prince William.
Adding to the complexity of their relationship, Prince Harry also revealed an
altercation with Prince William following his wedding to Meghan Markle.
Describing the incident, Prince Harry shared that after a heated exchange of
words, Prince William physically confronted him, grabbing him by the collar,
causing his necklace to rip and knocking him to the floor.
He recollected landing on a dog's bowl, which cracked under his back, leaving
him momentarily dazed. Despite the confrontation, Prince Harry managed to
gather himself and demanded that Prince William leave.
These revelations underscore the deep-seated tension between the two brothers,
casting a shadow over any hope of reconciliation. Prince Harry's memoir serves
