While Prince Harry, aged 38, heads back to London to attend the High Court next week for his legal battle against Mirror Group Newspapers regarding allegations of phone hacking, King Charles, aged 74, will embark on a solo trip to Romania, specifically Transylvania.
During this period, it is unlikely that the two will have the opportunity to see each other. Prince Harry, who left the UK for California in 2020, recently returned to attend his father's Coronation, which took place at Westminster Abbey.
However, immediately after the ceremony, the father-of-two hurriedly returned home to the Golden State, sporting his medals and morning suit at Heathrow Airport.
Upon his return to the UK, Prince Harry is believed to have stayed at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor for the night. During his visit, he did not have the chance to see his brother, Prince William, and did not engage in any conversations with his father or stepmother, Queen Camilla.
It is worth noting that Prince Harry previously returned to the UK in late March for a separate phone hacking lawsuit against the Daily Mail. As for King Charles, his five-day visit to his rural Transylvanian property will provide him with an opportunity to rest and recuperate following the recent Coronation celebrations. Notably, Camilla will not accompany her husband on this trip and will instead remain at their Wiltshire home.
Charles, who owns at least 10 properties in Romania, uses his trips to Transylvania for activities such as hiking, painting, and reading. The Telegraph has reported that the King's property lacks modern amenities like wifi, TV, and radio.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is expected to personally testify at the upcoming High Court trial next week. This legal battle will bring him face-to-face with Piers Morgan, the former editor of the Mirror and a vocal critic of the Sussexes.
