Special Visit to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Montecito Home

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were paid a special visit at their luxurious Montecito residence. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed James Corden and his family to their stunning $14 million estate in Montecito.

Following their attendance at the Woman of Vision Awards 2023, where Meghan Markle was recognized with a prestigious award, the couple has maintained a low profile. Unfortunately, they were involved in a harrowing incident shortly after the event, as they found themselves caught in a "near catastrophic car chase" with relentless paparazzi photographers.

Since then, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have intentionally stayed out of the public eye, remaining in their splendid Montecito home alongside their two children, four-year-old Prince Archie and soon-to-be two-year-old Princess Lilibet, who will celebrate her birthday this week.

However, on Tuesday, an exceptional and much-anticipated visit unfolded. James Corden, a close friend of the family, arrived with his own family at the Sussexes' residence. James, who previously hosted The Late Late Show, had recently returned to the UK but took advantage of the school holidays to bring his family back to the United States.

Captured by the cameras, James was seen driving himself and his family to Prince Harry and Meghan's home. From there, they embarked on a brief five-minute journey to Montecito's Lucky's Steakhouse, where they enjoyed a delightful dinner alongside James's wife, Julia, and their three children.

The friendship between the two couples has deep roots, as James Corden and his wife were guests at Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018. Reflecting on the wedding reception, James shared a lighthearted moment he had with the newlyweds, revealing, "Afterwards [at the evening reception], I did make a joke, dressed up as Henry VIII, and told everyone: 'George Clooney's here, so congratulations on your new Nespresso machine, guys!'"

James Corden has been an unwavering source of support for Prince Harry, particularly since his departure from the royal family in 2020 and the subsequent release of his book, "Spare," earlier this year. In an interview with The Sun, James expressed his admiration for the couple, stating, "Look, I'm a huge fan of both of them. Obviously, I know Harry better than I know Meghan, but I think it's really hard to judge or be judgmental. People process things and deal with things in different ways, and that’s OK."

He continued by emphasizing his respect for Prince Harry and his role as a husband and father, applauding their decision to distance themselves from royal life. James reiterated his unwavering support and admiration, remarking, "I have nothing but admiration and respect for them. I think it’s impossible to judge any of it really."
