The Duke of Sussex traveled to his home country to testify in his lawsuit against British tabloids, accusing them of illegally obtaining information. Despite being in close proximity, Prince Harry did not make any attempts to meet his family.
According to The Telegraph, there is no indication that the 38-year-old prince saw his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William, during his visit. In fact, he didn't even make an effort to see his brother, opting to fly back to California on June 8 as quickly as possible to be with his own family, as reported by Ok! Magazine.
During his stay, Prince Harry reportedly resided at Frogmore Cottage, despite being evicted from his Windsor home earlier this year by King Charles. The decision to evict him was allegedly made on the day Prince Harry released his memoir, titled "Spare."
The rift between the royals originated when Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their senior royal positions in 2020.
The following year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex openly discussed their struggles within the royal family in a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey. This was followed by their docuseries on Netflix in 2022, which further shed light on their experiences.
However, tensions escalated with the release of Prince Harry's explosive memoir, "Spare." In the book, he lamented about his strained relationship with Prince William and detailed instances of mistreatment by his father.
This prompted concerns from Charles and William about the contents of Prince Harry's witness statement, given his candidness in the memoir, as explained by royal expert Katie Nicholl.
