So why isn't there any information on it regarding awards recently accorded to Megan?
The couple has never been shy about boasting of their achievements, so some Royal pundits find it odd that there's no word about Megan's activities, namely her receipt of a Woman of Vision award in New York and the Gracie Awards in California, both in May.
The last news the couple shared on Archworld was in regard to Mental Health Awareness Month on May 15th. There's nothing about Megan's awards, which may seem strange to some Royal fans. Then again, it could be that the reason they aren't talking is that they talked a little too much following the New York City award. According to them, they were chased by paparazzi for two hours, and there was near apocalypse along the way.
The couple claimed that the ride was near catastrophic, but no one seemed to believe them—not the mayor of New York City, not the police, not the cab driver who had the pleasure of ferrying them around. Social media also found the claims hard to swallow and pointed out that at least one of the photographers was on a bike, hardly warp speed.
Thereafter, the couple said they were involved in a chaotic car chase with paparazzi in New York on Tuesday night that could have resulted in a catastrophic outcome. Instead of getting any public support, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were criticized for allegedly exaggerating the incident.
It didn't help the credibility that the official police report veered from the dramatic version of events. Film and TV producer Erbal Ganasti doubled down on Megan's absurd reality, saying that she's a middle-aged divorcee called Rachel from Los Angeles, calling herself The Duchess of Sussex. It's frankly absurd since the whole concept of royalty still makes very little sense to most Americans, he told GB News.
Many people in the U.S. now see Megan purely as an opportunist leveraging the Royal profile of a weak husband to build her own celebrity brand as the politically ambitious 41-year-old prepares sooner or later to run for public office. If that's true, the latest declaration from Princess Pinocchio isn't helping her chances.
Harry and Meghan Markle's Archwell Foundation has distributed less than a quarter of its income to charities, according to tax filings for the year 2021. The documents also revealed that Megan and Harry spent the equivalent of one hour a week working on the charitable foundation.
Archwell received a total income of around 13 million dollars in 2021, primarily through two massive one-off donations. The much-discussed mystery 10 million dollar donation represents the bulk of the foundation's funding. Royal insiders have speculated that the unnamed donor may have been Oprah Winfrey, whose payment for interviewing the couple in March 2021 is believed to be connected.
An additional three million dollars in funding may have come from the couple themselves or from a different wealthy benefactor.
The foundation has distributed around 25% of the money raised through grants to 25 causes in the United States and three European humanitarian crises.
In a 24-page impact report released on the Archwell Foundation website, the Sussexes claimed that the money went towards delivering COVID-19 vaccines, assisting Afghan and Ukrainian refugees relocating to the United States, and building a playground for survivors of the Uvaldi school shooting.
