If you recall, the little ones didn't accompany their parents to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands back in April 2022. Given the long-haul journey involved, it's quite likely that Archie and Lilibet will remain at their family home in Montecito, California, possibly with their nanny or Megan's mother, Doria Ragland.
Now, let's shift our gaze to King Charles and Queen Camilla, who are hosting family members at Balmoral Castle in Scotland during their summer break. However, the Sussexes are unlikely to be among the guests. While many might speculate that this is due to the rift within the family, stemming from Harry and Megan's tell-all Netflix documentaries and Harry's explosive memoir, there might be another reason at play.
Archie, who is now four, attends preschool in the U.S., and school terms in the U.S. typically start in August. So, there's a strong possibility that the young lad is already back with his peers. The last time Harry and Megan brought their children to the UK was in June 2022 when they attended celebrations for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Though the children weren't publicly pictured during this visit, the Duke and Duchess did share some heartwarming footage from Lilibet's first birthday party in their Netflix series. They held a charming tea party at their former Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, to mark the special occasion.
Now, one lingering question is where Harry will stay during his time in the UK. In July, it was confirmed by Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, that the Sussexes had vacated Frogmore Cottage. This Grade II-listed property had been converted from separate apartments into a four-bedroom house, undergoing £2.4 million in renovations before the Duke and Duchess moved in ahead of Archie's birth in May 2019.
However, Harry and Megan only lived there for six months before announcing their decision to step back as senior royals and move to the U.S. They retained it as their UK base for a time but eventually repaid the cost of renovations in an arrangement that included leasing Frogmore Cottage for several years. Reports suggest that they were asked to leave the property in January of this year, following the publication of Prince Harry's tell-all memoir, which laid bare details of his complicated relationship with his father, Charles, and older brother, Prince William.
