In recent weeks, Meghan has been captured on camera multiple times while adapting to a more secluded lifestyle in the United States following her and Prince Harry's departure from the royal family. However, a source disclosed to Page Six that what may appear as deliberate photo ops were, in fact, the result of paparazzi surveillance.
The insider clarified that Meghan was not actively seeking opportunities to be photographed but had come to realize that she could not escape the constant media attention. A recent episode in the media frenzy occurred when Meghan was photographed wearing an anti-stress patch, which led to assumptions that the images were strategically planned.
"Meghan isn't actively seeking opportunities to be in the spotlight, but she's come to understand that she can't avoid it. The cameras are here to stay," explained the source.
Additionally, the source addressed the misconception that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle actively pursued a 'private' life after their exit from royal duties. It was emphasized that this narrative was primarily promoted by the palace, while the Sussexes were well aware that achieving true privacy would be challenging.
"No one is disputing the privacy issue. The whole 'don't pay attention to us, pay attention to us' storyline is an exaggeration because, in the beginning, the palace spun it that Harry and Meghan wanted a more private life. They know that true privacy is unattainable," the source asserted.
A second source shed light on Prince Harry's perspective regarding his relationship with the media. According to this source, "Harry has been clear that he never wanted to be in the media... He would be perfectly content to disappear, perhaps to live in Botswana, provided he has the means. Meghan, on the other hand, seems to enjoy being in the public eye."
The source continued, "While he doesn't mind being seen out for dinner, his main concern is protecting his children and preserving their innocence, as he faced numerous challenges in his own life due to media attention.
