Despite Prince Harry's candid revelations about senior royal family members in various media appearances, the Netflix documentary, and his memoir "Spare," he has consistently refrained from showing disrespect towards his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
During the Sandringham meeting on January 13, 2020, Prince Harry openly accused Prince William of raising his voice and King Charles of being dishonest. Notably, he abstained from blaming Queen Elizabeth, who was also present during this pivotal meeting, for any of the contentious issues.
In the fifth episode of the Netflix documentary, Harry shed light on the circumstances, stating, "I entered the meeting with the same proposal we had already made publicly. But upon arrival, I was presented with five options." He elaborated, "Option three, during the meeting, was my choice – a halfway approach. We'd maintain our own roles while also supporting the Queen. However, it became evident very quickly that this goal was non-negotiable."
Reflecting on that emotionally charged meeting, Prince Harry revealed, "It was distressing to experience my brother shouting at me and my father asserting things that were patently untrue, all while my grandmother sat there quietly, taking it all in."
In defense of his late grandmother, he added, "But one must comprehend that, from the family's perspective, particularly from hers, there are established protocols. Her primary mission, responsibility, and loyalty lie with the institution. Advisors around her would convey, 'By the way, that proposal or the actions of these two individuals will be perceived as an attack on the institution.' Consequently, she would act based on the guidance she received.
