Prince Harry Ignored by Sentebale CEO at Singapore Polo Event Amidst Royal Status Change: Demand for Prince William

Prince Harry Ignored by Sentebale CEO at Singapore Polo Event Amidst Royal Status Change: Demand for Prince William

Prince Harry's royal status seemed to have faded as he was reportedly ignored during a charity polo match in Singapore last week. The Duke of Sussex, who was visiting Japan and Singapore to raise funds for his charity, took part in the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Club event, which supports a charity funded by Harry. However, attendees at his own event reportedly ignored him.

This was a stark contrast to his past experiences as a royal, where he would typically receive adoring smiles and polite flattery in group settings. The royal expert commented that Harry appeared awkward without the usual attention he was accustomed to as a royal.

During his brief trip to Tokyo, Harry was seen with his longtime friend and polo champion Nacho Figueras, with whom he has had a friendship since 2007. The pair even found time for some shopping together. Harry spoke highly of Japan's culture and food, saying he would happily live there if given the chance.

Looking ahead, Prince William is expected to visit Singapore on November 7th for the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony. This follows the inaugural launch of the awards in London in 2021 and the second cycle in Boston in December 2022, both attended by Prince Charles and Kate Middleton. It remains uncertain if the Princess of Wales will join him in Asia for this event.

Before the Singapore trip, Prince William will be heading to New York City for the second annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on September 19th. This summit will also reveal the 15 finalists for the 2023 Earthshot Prize.

While Harry and William both share a love for polo and have used the sport to fundraise for important causes, their recent differences have kept them apart. The last time they were together was for their father King Charles' coronation in London on May 6th. Prince William participated in the service at Westminster Abbey, while Prince Harry returned to the U.S. shortly after the ceremony.
